Administration Officer â€“ Christies Beach and Port Augusta 

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Administration Officer to join our Christies Beach and Port Augusta office.
This role is ideal for someone early in their administration career who is keen to learn, gain experience, and grow within a professional accounting environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and provide essential support to our accounting team.
Full training will be provided. Prior experience is helpful but not essential.

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Front desk reception and welcoming clients
  • Answering phones and managing emails
  • Booking meetings and managing diaries
  • Preparing client letters, reports and documents
  • Data entry and record management
  • Lodging documents with the ATO
  • Supporting Directors and accountants as needed

 

 About You

You’ll be a great fit if you:

We are a mid-tier accounting practice made up of 8 Directors and over 45 staff. We are a CPA Practice and Xero Platinum Partners, and are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for our services in personal tax and business accounting and taxation. We’re needing to add to our accounting team as soon as possible to meet this demand.

We have clients from all over South Australia and some interstate. Our clients are from across the industry spectrum, including retail, industrial, trade, professional services, sports, hospitality and tourism, agriculture, indigenous communities & education.

Qualifications & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce from a recognised Australian University (or graduating soon).
  • CPA designation is highly desirable
  • Some level of experience and proficiency in Xero Cloud Accounting or similar is preferable

About the Role

As a Client Service Officer, you will support our experienced Financial Planners and be collaborating with a talented team to deliver exceptional service and develop financial plans strategically designed to help real people meet important financial objectives.

We are committed to attracting the right people, so we’re offering long-term, secure employment, competitive pay and flexibility to work with university study programs. 

Consider the following when writing your application. You will;

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related field.
  • Be able to learn quickly, listen and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Have a reputation for being punctual and reliable.
  • Enjoy being part of a team.
  • Be computer literate and have experience working with MS Office Suite.
  • Have some experience in a similar role. This would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Experience with XPlan is also a definite advantage.
