Accountant / Bookkeeper | Modbury
Rowe Partners are a mid-tier accounting practice of 8 Directors and over 45 staff located in offices here in Modbury as well as Christies Beach, Port Augusta, Port Pirie and Murray Bridge. We are a CPA Practice and Xero Platinum Partners experiencing unprecedented demand for our services in personal tax, business accounting and taxation. We need to add to our accounting team as soon as possible. We have clients from all over South Australia and some interstate. Our clients are from across the industry spectrum, including retail, industrial, trade, professional services, sports, hospitality and tourism, agriculture, indigenous communities & education.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Some level of experience and proficiency in Xero Cloud Accounting or similar is preferable
- Preparation of client personal tax, business accounting and taxation.
Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce from a recognised Australian University (or graduating soon).
- CPA designation is highly desirable.

About the person
We are looking for a friendly, confident communicator with excellent problem-solving skills. While extensive experience is not expected, our ideal candidate will demonstrate multitasking abilities and performing well under pressure. They’ll show initiative but will also happily accept direction. We’re looking for someone who is goal driven, self-motivated & committed to building a career in admin within an accounting & financial services environment. They should enjoy working as part of a team, be flexible & be willing to pitch in to help their colleagues.

General responsibilities will include;
- Front office reception & client liaison
• Diary & meetings management
• Preparation of client correspondence, reports & Financials
• Client ATO lodgements
• Accurate & frequent data-entry into XPM & other databases to maintain current records
• Management of confidential & sensitive information
• Provision of support to the Directors & the accounting team
• Admin duties – scanning & photocopying, petty cash, filing & records management.
